Job Description

  • Process employee payroll accurately and in a timely manner using Sage payroll (payroll is outsourced)
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage the purchase ledger, including coding and posting supplier invoices.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with payment runs and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Respond to payroll and purchase ledger-related queries from employees and suppliers.
  • Support the accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Ensure all financial data is accurately recorded and securely stored.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll and Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:

  • Previous experience in payroll and purchase ledger roles within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems.
