Join Our Team as aPayroll and Finance Assistant!

Location: Cruckton, Shrewsbury
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm)

The Role

We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Payroll and Finance Assistant to join our small, friendly, and busy finance team. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collating and maintaining payroll information and ensuring accuracy at all stages.
  • Acting as the first point of contact (by phone, email, and face-to-face) for payroll queries.
  • Supporting purchase ledger, cash management, month-end closing, and audit processes.
  • Using advanced Excel skills to manage and analyse data effectively.

About You

  • Ideally AAT qualified or working towards qualification.
  • Experience working in a busy finance team, with direct involvement in payroll processing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly and confidently.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.
