Payroll & Accounts Officer

VANRATH are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Accounts Officer to join a leading NI employer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in payroll administration to play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll to a workforce of around 300 employees.

What You'll Do
  • Administer end-to-end payroll
  • Calculate and apply statutory deductions such as PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including starters, leavers, and any changes to employment status
  • Reconcile time and attendance data and report payroll information to Senior Leadership on a daily basis
  • Upload payroll payments to the bank once payroll is finalised
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, tax laws, and internal company policies
  • Prepare and submit statutory payroll reports (RTI, EPS, FPS, ONS)
  • Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support year-end processes, including the preparation of P45s, P60s, and P11Ds, and assist during audits
  • Collaborate with HR and managers to ensure accurate and seamless payroll processing
  • Assist with general ledgers
About You
  • 2-5 years' payroll experience
  • Solid understanding of UK payroll laws and statutory reporting
  • Highly accurate with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, discreet, and able to manage confidential information
  • Organised with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communicator, both independently and within a team
