About The Role
Youll be supporting the Payroll Manager in overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, managing data analysis and reporting, and helping to drive continuous improvements in payroll operations. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, analytical capability, and strong interpersonal skills.
Person Specification
Experience & Skills
A minimum of 5 years experience in a Payroll department, with comprehensive exposure to all key responsibilities
Payroll Specialist Certificate Foundation Degree in Payroll Management (CIPP)
Proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel
Experience with Iris Earnie or Zellis payroll software is highly desirable
Strong presentation skills , capable of delivering clear and persuasive updates
Demonstrated ability in financial and payroll data analysis , identifying trends and anomalies
Skilled in data monitoring and documentation , with a focus on improving reporting processes
Resilient, adaptable and able to perform well under pressure
A team player with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic
Capable of motivating and supporting colleagues in a collaborative environment
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable, as some travel may be required for audits and meetings
