A day in the life of a Payroll Analyst:

Support the HR Shared Services Centre in processing and managing day to day HR/Payroll activities, such as:

  • General payroll administration
  • Processing of payrolls including Auto Enrolment Pension and RTI Submission sub processes
  • Processing of ad-hoc pay runs
  • Liaising with Treasury and Finance functions to ensure required controls are met for the processing of payroll payment files
  • Uploading of data to the systems
  • Payroll communications
  • Generating of reports, logs and statistics
  • Support the payroll reconciliation process
  • Liaise with finance colleagues on requests for pay and tax data as required
  • Manage business requests and respond with accurate data analysis
  • Keep up to date with developments in Payroll legislation and best practice
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
  • Generalist payroll experience within an HRSS / finance environment
  • Ideally CIPP qualified (or desire to qualify)
  • Extensive experience of working with pay and tax data
  • Clear and thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures and a good level of understanding and interest in wider HR best practice and legislation
  • Knowledge of payroll systems
  • Knowledge of running payroll data queries would be an advantage
