Description

Senior Payroll Team Leader

Location: Leicester Office - Hybrid (usually 2 days at home after probation)

Department: Central Services

Reporting to: Payroll Operations Team Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a Payroll Advisor to join our existing team of 4, managing approximately 200 payrolls each month. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure colleagues are paid correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and manage payrolls for a diverse portfolio of clients, from sole traders to complex payrolls
  • Organize and plan own workload effectively
  • Set up new starters and process leavers
  • Input and calculate payroll data accurately
  • Process statutory payments as required
  • Submit real-time information to HMRC
  • Calculate and process pension contributions
  • Ensure client compliance with Auto Enrolment legislation
  • Make necessary declarations to the Pensions Regulator
