Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a large organisation in the Liverpool area who are recruiting for a Payroll Advisor to join their team. They offer an excellent working environment, work-from-home opportunities, and discounts.

The client is undergoing a systems transformation and needs a Payroll Advisor to support their busy payroll department.

Key Duties/Tasks:
  • Technical skills including Oracle System & Excel
  • Support the high-volume payroll department with starters and leavers
  • Experience handling multiple payrolls with varying shift patterns
  • Strong Excel skills for manual processing
  • Work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Provide advice to employees regarding payroll queries
  • Ensure payments are made within deadlines, including reconciliations
  • Perform manual calculations
  • Experience with T & A system (useful)
  • Oracle system experience (preferable)
Desirable skills and attributes:
  • 2-3 years industry experience
  • Previous payroll experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Team player
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Excellent communication skills for handling queries
  • Confident with Excel
  • CIPP qualification (advantageous but not essential)

Normal working hours are 35 hours per week, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a 1-hour unpaid break.
