As a member of the payroll team at ICL Boulby, you will work closely with HR and Finance departments to provide operational payroll support primarily to ICL Boulby but also to support with the other entities across the ICL group in the UK as required.

About the job

We are looking for an experienced payroll administrator responsible for preparing and processing monthly payrolls for all employees across the UK, ensuring accurate and timely submission of payroll data to our UK payroll service provider.

Key responsibilities will be:
  • Processing all new starters and leavers in HRIS and Payroll software and producing required documents (P45, etc.)
  • Calculating correct amounts to pay, deductions, overtime, bonuses, allowances for employees, etc.
  • Manually adjusting SMP, SSP, pay rates, and other miscellaneous adjustments
  • Running monthly payroll reports for the finance teams
  • Ensuring compliance with UK wage laws and best practices
  • Preparing and filing required reports (e.g., P11D, P60)
  • Responding to payroll-related enquiries from employees and resolving discrepancies
  • Processing invoices within SAP
  • Coordinating with HR and Finance departments regarding payroll issues
  • Providing support for annual audits and financial reporting
  • Handling general office administration and other duties to ensure smooth office operations
About you
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a payroll department
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, tax laws, and regulations
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
  • Experience with payroll software is advantageous
