Payroll Administrator

My client, based in Liverpool, is an extremely forward-thinking and dynamic chartered accountancy practice seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their busy team.

The ideal candidate will have prior Sage and bureau experience to hit the ground running and bring their own personality to the role.

This is an end-to-end payroll position with strong client-facing responsibilities. Knowledge of weekly and monthly payrolls, pension schemes, and CIS payments is essential.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing monthly wages payable, pensions, and PAYE reconciliations
  • Checking and implementing tax coding notices
  • Handling salary sacrifice schemes from a payroll perspective, including updating working papers
  • Processing the submission of P11Ds to HMRC
  • Liaising with HMRC on inquiries, including PAYE disputes

The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, integrity, enthusiasm, and provide a first-class customer experience. Good judgment, self-awareness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are crucial in this fast-paced environment.
