About the Role

We are seeking a well organised and meticulous individual with experience working within an in-house payroll function. You will hold a payroll qualification, or be an experienced payroll professional with a desire for further development. You will be supported and surrounded by a friendly and capable team.

Main Duties for the Payroll Administrator will include:

· Supporting the Payroll Supervisor to ensure payroll is paid on time and is accurate

· Ensuring that RTI submissions are made on time and are accurate

· Ensuring that pension administration is correct and in line with Pension Regulations

· Ensuring payments to HMRC are made on time

· Dealing with staff queries on payroll efficiently and in a timely manner

· Supporting the Payroll Supervisor with internal and external payroll reporting

· Supporting the Payroll Supervisor with bringing in legislative changes to payroll ( payrolling benefits 2026)

The ideal candidate will:

· Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills

· Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information

· Have good time management skills and the ability to work within tight deadlines

· Have the capacity to identify and implement process improvements

· Be a team player

The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, be flexible in their willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and expectations. The role requires processing a significant volume of sensitive data and therefore attention to detail is paramount. A can-do approach to all tasks, effective communication, and a friendly disposition will go a long way.
