Payroll Administrator – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking a detail-orientated, data savvy individual to support our HRIS team in processing time and attendance data,
including end-to-end weekly payroll.

Location: Ebbw Vale, NP23 5SD (hybrid working).

Not based in Ebbw Vale? This role is flexible and you can based at any of our UK manufacturing sites including Poole, Milton
Keynes, Nottingham, Middlesbrough, Crewe, Clitheroe or Market Drayton.

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 - 17:00, Friday, 8:30 - 16:00 (flexible working available)

Salary: £27,000

Contract: Fixed-Term 6 months

Your Duties Will Include:

* Process weekly end-to-end payroll and resolve any wage queries in a timely manner
* Ensure sites are accurately updating time and attendance records (E.g. Holidays, Absence)
* Use the time and attendance HR systems to keep accurate records of weekly paid employees' attendance, holiday entitlement and
days present
* Process self-certificates and doctors notes on HR systems
* Accurately calculate and record sick pay details onto HR Information Systems (HRIS).
* Calculate and pay holiday pay.
* Record and process annual pay review, any temporary upgrades, discrepancies, queries, new starters and leavers.
* Work with managers across all business to collect information for the monthly payroll addressing pay queries and adjustments
pre and post payroll.
* Ensure alignment of HRIS data in terms of organisation structure, managers etc. across our systems
* Complete systems password resets
* Produce timely and accurate reporting (E.g. overtime, holiday usage, working time directive breaches)
* Any additional office administration including filing and other office miscellaneous jobs.



Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

* Previous experience of payroll processing desirable but not essential (Pegasus Opera 3 knowledge advantageous)
* Previous experience working with time and attendance data and HR systems (UKG Ready/Kronos knowledge desirable)
* Highly detailed-orientated and skilled at working with accuracy
* Data driven and comfortable with large data sets
* Ability to work with detailed information and analyse/interpret accordingly.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
* Organisation skills
* Requirement to work some bank holidays to achieve payroll deadlines – time off in lieu will be provided
