Payroll Administrator

Lookers Head Office Manchester – Remote with occasional travel to a Lookers Dealership

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £24,000 - £27,250 (Depending on Experience)

Hours: 37.5 per week

We are excited to say we are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join the team!

Are you detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about delivering accurate and timely payroll services? We’re looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring our employees are paid correctly and on time.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly employment changes, including new starters, transfers, promotions, maternity, paternity, sickness, bonus, overtime and terminations
  • Assist with the completion of NMW categorisations and calculations
  • Resolve payroll related queries, delivering a high standard of customer service
  • Provide assistance and support to the wider team
  • Review processes and maintain up to date process notes and guides
  • Assist with interfaces and data loads into the payroll system
  • Support payroll control, audit and compliance
  • BACS payment processing and report production
  • Involvement in annual project activities
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of student loans, SMP, SPP, SSP and other pay related legislation
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise your own workload, as well as assist other team members where needed
  • Experience working with a fast-paced environment and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong customer service focus and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
