Payroll Administrator

Contract Type: Full-TimeLocation: Swissport Hybrid 3 days in the office

Hours: 0900-1700hrs.Reports To: Payroll Manager

Swissport UK is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to manage and coordinate payroll operations for its UK business. This role requires an individual with strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and experience in a fast-paced payroll environment.

Responsibilities
  • Run multiple payrolls end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Resolve payroll queries and escalate issues when necessary
  • Maintain and enhance payroll checklists, promoting best practices and internal controls
  • Ensure timely processing across all payroll cycles
  • Manage and audit time & attendance systems to ensure output accuracy
  • Prepare payroll reports and support ad hoc analysis
  • Open and close payrolls each cycle with precision
  • Support ongoing payroll processing and system improvements
  • Report errors systematically using established error reporting tools
  • Collaborate with Payroll Manager, HR, and station teams to meet local payroll needs
  • Interpret company policies, contracts, and regulations relating to payroll and entitlements
  • Respond to external agency notifications regarding employee claims or previous employment matters
Qualifications
  • CiPP certification (preferred)
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced payroll environment across multiple locations
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Dayforce & WFM software would be desirable
  • Able to manually calculate payslips with accuracy
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present payroll-related information clearly to individuals and groups
  • Comfortable interpreting and following complex instructions and standard procedures
