Location: Potters Bar

Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm

Purpose of the Role
  • Ensure accurate and compliant processing of contractor payroll, delivering a seamless service supporting workers and clients.
Responsibilities
  • Handle and resolve a broad range of payroll queries for clients, including explaining payslips, calculating deductions, tax codes, company costs, and auto pension enrolment.
  • Create and amend invoices, process pay elements, court orders, statutory payments, and manage holiday pay, salary sacrifice, and tax code updates.
  • Manage weekly payroll processing for approximately 1000 contractors, including manual tax calculations and RTI submissions.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
  • Experience in accountancy practice, umbrella companies, or recruitment sectors.
  • Strong payroll experience with exposure to manual payroll processing.
  • Understanding of high-volume weekly payroll demands.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail.
