Payroll Assistant

Up to £32,000

West Sussex - Hybrid working

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with end-to-end payroll processing on a monthly basis
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data entry
  • Calculate statutory payments including SSP, SMP, and SPP
  • Support with payroll queries from employees
  • Reconcile payroll reports and assist with audits
  • Liaise with HMRC and stay up to date on legislative changes

About You:

  • Previous experience in a payroll position (in-house or bureau)
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident using payroll systems and Excel
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
