We have a exciting opportunity for an experienced payroller to join our in house payroll team. This role will assist in the processing of our monthly payroll for approximately 8000 colleagues. This is a full time working 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £26,000.

Responsibility and Duties

  • Payroll Processing
  • Accurate processing of a end to end monthly payroll of circa 1,200 colleagues
  • Review, manage and resolve payroll queries including the calculation and raising of manual payments where required and ensuring they are all accurately recorded
  • Good understanding of statutory payments including Maternity, Paternity & Shared Parental leave
  • Experience of full end to end payroll preferred

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working as part of a payroll team is essential
  • Must have exceptional communication skills
  • Must be competent in performing manual payroll calculations
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining composure
  • Experience of operating a modern payroll software package such as PeopleXD (Access), Success Factors (SAP), Oracle, Dayforce (Ceridian) or Workday
  • Candidate must be experienced in Excel, knowledge of VLOOKUP’s is also required
  • CIPP qualified is desirable but not essential
