About the role
GrainCorp is looking for a Payroll Accounting & Compliance Officer to provide payroll accounting support while ensuring compliance with evolving payroll regulations. This role blends payroll, and compliance, making it an excellent opportunity for someone with an accounting background who has transitioned into payroll. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing third-party payroll payments, including superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax
  • Ensuring compliance with EBAs, awards, and relevant legislation
  • Performing monthly payroll-related P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Overseeing payroll compliance, including internal audits and reporting
  • Supporting system enhancements and managing finance/payroll system integrations
  • Providing payroll reporting, analytics, and insights to business stakeholders
About your experience
We're looking for someone who is passionate about payroll accuracy and compliance in an ever-changing landscape. Candidates will also display:
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and how they integrate with payroll
  • End-to-end payroll experience, including superannuation, taxation, and year-end processes
  • EBA and award compliance
  • Experience with accounting for payroll transactions in both internal financial and third party systems post pay runs
  • SAP payroll system knowledge
  • Kronos, Dimensions, or other Time & Attendance systems
In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a national police check, credit check, bankruptcy check.
