A leading company in the entertainment sector is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to manage payroll processes and employee benefits. This part-time role at Birmingham Hippodrome involves ensuring compliance, providing payroll advice, and enhancing employee experiences through effective benefits management. Ideal candidates will hold a CIPP qualification and have experience in payroll administration.
We are looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist who will be responsible for delivering the full range of payroll transactional processes while also providing practical, solutions-focused payroll advice. You’ll ensure all payroll operations — including processing, compliance, and reporting — are carried out accurately and efficiently. Additional you’ll oversee company benefits, assist with compensation reviews, benchmarking, HR systems administration, and advisory tasks. An exciting project for this role will be to lead on the research and implementation of a brand new payroll system. Your work will be directly enhancing and supporting all of our people in their experiences at Birmingham Hippodrome.
Our Payroll & Benefits Specialist will oversee and run payroll processing for all employees and flexible workers at Birmingham Hippodrome, alongside leading the varied provision of financial benefits offered to our people. As part of the wider HR People team, this role will contribute to the People Strategy, whilst ensuring that Birmingham Hippodrome continues to be a great place to work for our people.
Our Payroll & Benefits Specialist will be a subject matter expert in their area, and the first point of contact for all payroll and benefits-related queries. They will also assist in the development of competitive and cost-effective benefits offerings that will assist with employee engagement, retention and attraction.
This is a permanent role, on a part-time basis of 22.5 hours per week and reports into our Head of People. The role is based predominantly onsite at Birmingham Hippodrome.
