Job summary
Michael Page Legal is assisting a leading UK financial institution in the Midlands with a Regulatory Solicitor role focused on payments regulation for commercial card products. The post involves advising on PSD2, PAYMENTS Regulations and related FCA expectations, and working closely with senior stakeholders to shape regulatory strategy.
You will become the team's specialist adviser, translating complex regulatory requirements into practical commercial guidance and helping launch new products
Qualifications
- Solicitor or equivalent with strong payments regulatory experience
- Experience advising on PSD2 and Payment Services Regulations
- Familiar with card issuing, payments businesses, fintechs or e-money firms
- Comfortable advising senior stakeholders and giving commercially focused legal guidance
- Knowledgeable in Strong Customer Authentication requirements
- Experience with Consumer Credit Act matters affecting SME/business customers is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Advise on payments regulation affecting commercial card products and related services
- Support development and launch of new products through regulatory input
- Provide guidance on Payment Services Regulations, PSD2 and FCA expectations
- Identify legal/regulatory risks and help implement compliant solutions
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across legal, compliance, risk and commercial teams
