Job summary

sunday is seeking a Lead Payments Programme Manager to be the effective number two to the Payments leadership, shaping priorities and linking local programmes to our global payments architecture. You will lead complex initiatives from discovery through launch, adoption and measurement, working with Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations, Sales and external partners.

Qualifications

• Significant experience owning complex payments programmes.
• End-to-end delivery from problem framing to launch and impact.
• Strong understanding of payment flows, partners and models.
• Ability to manage senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Comfort navigating regulatory, risk and operational complexity.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the payments portfolio and territorial priorities, identifying high-impact opportunities.
• Lead the launch of new payment products from business case through adoption.
• Assess programmes against global architecture and priorities, with trade-off analyses.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery across Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations, Sales.
• Manage relationships with PSPs, acquirers, banks and fintech partners.
• Build governance, operating rhythms and decision-making for fast-moving programmes.
• Connect delivery to business impact: adoption, revenue, performance, risk, outcomes.
• Use data and experimentation to validate priorities and improve propositions.
• Help shape and grow the payments programme-management operating model.
