Job summary

Castle Trust Bank is seeking a Payment Operations Associate to join our growing team in Basingstoke. This role focuses on processing payments, reconciliations and controls with a strong emphasis on accuracy and customer outcomes.

During probation you will be in the office five days a week; after competency, a hybrid pattern of three days in the office and two days at home will apply. You will work across Savings, Property, Omni and Treasury lines to ensure smooth payments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume payments, reconciliation or financial operations environment.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, lookups and pivot tables with large datasets.
• Experience using General Ledger or Finance systems and understanding debits/credits.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound and outbound payments accurately and within service levels.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations across accounts and internal systems.
• Investigate discrepancies, maintain audit trails and elevate issues as required.
• Support risk management through adherence to procedures and controls.
• Respond to queries and assist with system improvements and knowledge sharing.
