Job description

Hybrid - Remote/London Hammersmith

The International Client Services – Technical Quality of Acceptance Team is responsible for understanding and fixing technical problems raised during payment checkout at POS terminals and ecommerce websites.

The Analytics Lead is accountable for working with internal clients and providing data and analysis support to support remediation of technical acceptance issues by implementing strategies and reporting to translate raw data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has strong logical reasoning skills and extended experience in payments analytics. The ability to communicate effectively to different stakeholder groups is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to the development of statistical insights and reports
  • Apply appropriate techniques to provide insight into payments data, and support others in applying them
  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance
  • Engage with stakeholders and share statistical and analytical techniques to increase understanding and trust
  • Listen to and interpret the needs of technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage their expectations
  • Support and host discussions within a multidisciplinary team
  • Manage differing stakeholder perspectives
  • Execute department initiatives and ensures processes and projects are well documented to meet auditing requirements
  • Could have additional responsibilities for planning, directing, and coordinating activities cross functionally
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of the payment ecosystem and messages, preferably from a scheme background
  • Strong SQL and data visualisation experience (Tableau a particular plus); in addition, R and/or Python experience would be beneficial
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Good knowledge of MS office package e.g. PowerPoint, Word - advanced Excel knowledge required
  • Natural relationship builder able to proficiently set and maintain great relationships with a portfolio of clients and multiple internal stakeholders
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Payments, Technology or Operations
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business, Tech, Engineering - or - relevant working experience

In summary the role is analysing card breakages by examining sets of data and troubleshooting resolving issues to find out what the problems are, why they are occurring and essentially helping fix them)
