Job description

About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced Payments Operations Specialist based out of Latvia, to join our neobank - BeOne, and support our launch and growth plans.

You will report directly to the Head of Operations and collaborate with the Head of Finance.

About us:

BeOne is a part of ICEO. It is a next-generation neobank that redefines how individuals and businesses manage money by blending traditional and digital finance. Our platform offers multi-currency accounts, ultra-low fees, real-time global payments, and robust financial tools, all within an intuitive, refined interface.

Our bold vision is to become the largest regulated funds and data transfer network for both retail and business customers. We empower users with financial freedom, security, and efficiency, whether for personal finances, business operations, or global investments.

In this role, you will:
  • Ensure daily reconciliation is completed and collaborate with Finance teams to ensure sufficient safeguarding.
  • Handle escalations from Customer Service on payment-related queries such as missing payments, bank recalls, and card disputes and chargebacks.
  • Handle manual payment processes including fee cancellations, account credits, and debits in line with SLAs and internal policies.
  • You’ll be the main point of contact on operational issues with our banking and payment providers.
  • Support in card stock management, card fraud monitoring and ensuring we have robust procedures to manage these effectively.
  • Support Finance in the design and development of reconciliation and monitoring tools.
  • Support process improvement across card and payment operations and facilitate knowledge sharing through the creation of clear and structured documentation.
What we expect from you:
  • 2 years experience in a similar role working in fintech, banking, or PSPs.
  • Fluent Latvian and English speaker, and able to write documentation in clear English.
  • Based in Latvia and be ready to visit an office in Riga when needed (max 1–2 times monthly).
  • Close familiarity with reconciliation and safeguarding.
  • Deep understanding of banking operations, KYC/AML, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset: can quantify issues, analyze root causes, and share the scope of a problem.
  • Flexibility & proactivity: willing to step beyond a narrow job description in a startup environment.
  • Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to translate complex topics and communicate effectively to stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in card program management.
  • Crypto interest or professional experience.
Why it’s worth a try - advantages of working at ICEO:
  • Budget: €26,000-€32,400 annual gross, depending on your experience and skills.
  • Full-time employment contract.
  • Possibility to work remotely.
  • Flexible working hours - we have core working hours between 11 am and 3 pm CET, offering you the opportunity to choose when you work outside of those hours.
  • High impact: you will be the first Payment Operations Specialist at BeOne, shaping crucial payment processes.
  • Opportunity to grow by accessing internal and external learning & development programs.
Our recruitment process includes these stages:
  1. A conversation with TA Partner - (about 45 mins) - I will tell you about us, BeOne, the role, the offer and the next steps in the recruitment process. Moreover, I will ask you questions about your experience, availability, and salary expectations. You can expect behavioral questions to see if you fit the position and our company. There will be time to answer your questions.
  2. A meeting with the Head of Operations at BeOne, who will be your manager - (about 1.5h) - you can expect in-depth, experience-based questions that delve into your past projects and responsibilities. He will validate your payment operations skills by asking about real scenarios you’ve handled. You can both decide if you want to work together. He will also allocate time to answer your questions.
