Job summary

Filtronic is seeking a Product Assurance Payload Lead to ensure the quality, reliability and compliance of space payload products from concept to customer delivery. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and programme teams to embed robust QA across the lifecycle.

The role requires experience with complex electronic, RF and space products, and a strong grasp of ECSS, ESA or NASA standards, with hybrid working options and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience in Product Assurance, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Quality or Reliability Engineering.
• Experience working with complex electronic, RF, aerospace or space products.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with ECSS, ESA or NASA quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead product assurance activities across payload and space hardware programmes.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and industry standards.
• Embed quality throughout the product lifecycle with engineering, manufacturing and test teams.
• Support selection and qualification of space grade components and materials.
• Review and approve quality plans, manufacturing docs and NCRs.
• Lead root cause investigations and NRBs.
• Participate in design, manufacturing readiness and gate reviews.
• Monitor quality metrics, process capability and continuous improvement.
