We are seeking a talented individual to join our Workforce Transformation Consulting team at Mercer. This role will be based in London. It is a hybrid position requiring at least three days a week in the office.

Pay Equity Consultant

Mercer is the pre-eminent global consulting firm that business leaders and human resource professionals worldwide turn to for strategic change. Through integrated talent solutions, we help our clients build leadership, talent, and organizational capabilities to compete and grow for the future.

The role involves working on projects related to pay equity, pay gap compliance reporting, and pay transparency. You will develop a thorough understanding of each client's goals, strategies, culture, and organization to effectively partner and accelerate their pay equity strategy. You will manage end-to-end pay equity and pay transparency projects, including analysis, workshops, and action plan creation. Additionally, you will oversee UK & Ireland Pay Gap projects, support EU legislative compliance efforts, and connect these to broader global pay equity initiatives.

We will count on you to:

  • Review analysis and develop findings from client data sources such as workforce data, employee listening results, and policies to assess the current state.
  • Support facilitation of executive workshops and presentations.
  • Delegate and review pay gap analyses (including Excel analysis) and prepare compliance reports.
  • Lead client presentations and recommendations, connecting them to broader solutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams and take ownership of project management.
  • Lead project workstreams and small to mid-sized projects in Pay Equity and Pay Transparency.
  • Participate in sales and business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand revenue and supporting prospecting efforts.

What you need to have:

  • Experience with pay compliance, pay equity analysis, people analytics, or pay transparency, including familiarity with pay equity platforms.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to identify small errors and their causes.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Independence in working and ability to craft concise narratives from complex data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client relationship-building skills.
  • Effective teamwork skills across disciplines and within the team.

Why join our team:

  • We support your professional development through interesting work and supportive leadership.
  • We foster an inclusive culture where you can collaborate with talented colleagues to create impactful solutions.
  • Our scale provides diverse career opportunities, benefits, and rewards to enhance your well-being.
