Job description

Job Title: Patternmaker / Bench Joiner

Location: Gloucester

Hours: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

1. Construct patterns and moulds from metal, wood, and composite materials based on drawings and CAD data.
2. Operate CNC programming machines to complete assigned tasks.
3. Perform daily production activities in accordance with manufacturing instructions.
4. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safe storage.
5. Communicate with customers and contractors as required.
6. Support research and development projects.
7. Reduce waste and ensure compliance with company and legislative procedures for disposal.
8. Follow stock control procedures as directed by the Pattern Shop Manager.
9. Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the working environment.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Solid knowledge of composites, woodworking, and metalwork.
• Experience operating workshop machinery such as sanders, circular saws, band saws, mills, and lathes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• CNC programming experience is preferred but not essential.
