A NHS Trust we are currently working with is seeking a Patient Transportation Driver to support the team. You'll be responsible for driving around the local area (Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead and Gerrards Cross) bringing patients to and from dialysis centres and their homes.

Location: You'll be required to travel across Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead and Gerrards Cross.

Rate of pay: £13.40p/h Umbrella

Working Hours: Shifts between Mon-Sat, 06.30-19.30 or 11.00-00.00

Contract: 3-month initial contract with the possibility of extension

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting patients in and out of their homes/dialysis centres
  • Vehicle checks to ensure the patient transport vehicle is in order prior to taking them out at the start of the shift
  • Taking bloods and other goods to and from Windsor dialysis unit
  • Reporting any incidents or maintenance issues
  • Each patient collection run would include up to 4/5 patients per journey, with each shift potentially doing this 3 times, including hospital pickups and drop-offs.

Requirements:

  • Full clean driving license - D1 category
  • Previous experience of vocational driving with evidence of driving similar vehicles
