Job summary

Jobtailor in Winnersh is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to provide frontline support for patient queries by phone and email, schedule appointments, and manage payments while maintaining electronic health records accurately.

You will collect data for long-term conditions, verify eligibility for initial assessments, and coordinate initial and follow-up appointments. The role requires adherence to SOPs, solid IT skills, and reliable office-based work in the UK.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ work experience
  • Previous experience in healthcare is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Good understanding of working in a highly regulated environment and following SOPs
  • High level of IT proficiency and confidence using multiple systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Patient-focused and proactive approach
  • Legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom
  • Willingness to travel to Winnersh Triangle and attend an office location
  • Ability to work 1 Saturday per month
  • Home working environment with reliable internet connection

Responsibilities

  • Answer patient queries by telephone and email
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
  • Handle appointment payments accurately
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records
  • Collect patient data relating to long-term conditions
  • Ensure patients meet criteria for initial assessment
  • Book initial and follow-up appointments
  • Prepare for and take minutes during multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Support clinical and operational recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Collate patient and service feedback and liaise with Head of Governance
  • Report incidents and significant events and follow-up
  • Support clinicians with operational queries
  • Liaise with Product and Tech Support teams to resolve issues
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement with line manager
  • Attend work-related meetings as required
  • Maintain mandatory training and SOP familiarity
  • Work flexibly across shifts

Job description


  • Answer patient queries by telephone and email, providing clear, professional and empathetic support

  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments

  • Handle appointment payments accurately and efficiently

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records

  • Collect patient data relating to long-term conditions

  • Ensure patients meet criteria for initial assessment in line with inclusion and exclusion criteria

  • Book initial and follow-up appointments

  • Prepare for and take minutes during multidisciplinary team meetings

  • Support clinical and operational recruitment and onboarding activities

  • Collate patient and service feedback and liaise with the Head of Governance regarding complaints and compliments

  • Report incidents and significant events and support appropriate follow-up

  • Support clinicians with operational queries and day-to-day service requirements

  • Liaise with Product and Tech Support teams to resolve technical issues

  • Identify opportunities for service improvement with the line manager and wider team

  • Attend work-related meetings as required

  • Maintain mandatory training and familiarity with company policies and SOPs

  • Work flexibly across shifts when required


Requirements
