Job Summary

Summary: As a Patient Services Supervisor, you will assist in the operation and customer service of the Food & Nutrition Services Department. This role is ideal for an energetic, entry-level manager seeking a career in the food service industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure patient and client satisfaction, exceeding expectations.
  2. Provide menu alternatives based on prescribed diets, allergies, sensitivities, cultural, and personal preferences.
  3. Interact with nursing staff to evaluate patient meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval processes.
  4. Resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly and report as needed.
  5. Assist in all food service activities, focusing on patient meal assembly and delivery, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and related activities.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of food service experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food service operations.
  • Knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet use.
  • ServSafe Certification.
