As a highly valued member of the hospital management team, you will be responsible for our administration teams across the hospital. Your direct reports will manage support services such as reception and business administration. You will work with them to enhance the patient journey, improve efficiency, and foster collaboration with clinical teams.

You will bring excellent organisational and analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and experience with patient management systems, databases, and Excel. Your proactive approach to personal development, coaching, and mentoring will help cultivate a culture of growth, accuracy, and efficiency.

As our Patient Services Manager, you will also:

  • Develop positive relationships with consultants to ensure accurate and timely communication regarding clinical governance, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Organise and maintain knowledge within patient information systems using agreed methods.
  • Support the integration of new patient systems/processes across departments.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to improve service quality at Exeter Nuffield.
  • Manage your team daily, including recruitment, induction, performance reviews, attendance, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
  • Monitor and coordinate staff and resource utilization across the hospital.
  • Promote staff training, development, and mentoring.
  • Ensure work is completed within deadlines, adhering to GDPR requirements.
  • Monitor and improve patient experiences to ensure excellent customer service.

The hospital is a 30-bed facility within walking distance of the city center with free onsite parking. It features two laminar flow operating theatres, outpatient treatment rooms, radiology services, and physiotherapy. Our specialties include orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, maxillofacial, and pain management, along with outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology.
