Job summary

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital seeks a Patient Services Representative to support administrative operations and patient interactions. The role collaborates with families, physicians, and staff to schedule, register, financially clear (rehab only), and support daily operations.

You will greet patients, manage calls, pre-register schedules, assist with eligibility, and ensure accurate charting and billing, enabling smooth patient flow throughout visits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare or front-desk role preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures like registration, scheduling, insurance.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, answers calls, and enhances customer experience.
• Pulls and files patient charts to ensure timely information and privacy.
• Schedules and pre-registers patients following established policies.
• Assists with eligibility and authorizations to ensure financial clearance.
• Checks in patients and facilitates smooth throughput for visits.
• Checks out patients, schedules follow-ups and ancillary procedures as needed.
• Enters charges, collects payments, and handles cash per procedures.
• Follows policies to collaborate across departments.
