This is an amazing opportunity to join our Patient Services team within Rushey Mead Health Centre, Leicester. Working collaboratively with the care navigation team, using your brilliant customer services skills, you will ensure patients are supported to access the care that they need.

At the forefront of the GP practice, you will act as the first port of call for patients both face-to-face and over the the telephone, supporting patients to access the care that they need.

Main duties of the job

You will bring your skills and experience to life by:

  • Deliver patient centred support to patients to access the care they need.
  • Ensuring appointments are triaged effectively through digitised systems including SysmOne.
  • Provide administrative support to the practice and clinicians to ensure patients care is processed correctly and efficiently.
  • Where appropriate, signposting patients to alternative care and/or provide self-management advice and support.
  • Responding to and supporting with patient complaints.
  • Contributing effectively to overall KPI targets.

Job responsibilities

Be the face of Spirit Primary Care forvisitors to the practice and via telephone, delivering an exceptional service.

Be at the forefront of the triage model, escalatingpatient requests appropriately and/or signposting patients to a moreappropriate service.

Effectively communicate with and supportthe practices clinical and non-clinical teams, secondary care and associatedhealthcare agencies.

Person Specification
Specific skills and competencies
  • Must have PC skills will be able to use basic Word, Excel and e-mail.
  • Knowledge of Primary Care Clinical systems - desirable
  • Excellent communicator, both spoken and written.
  • Able to maintain a professional and personal approach to all patients, despite the behaviours they demonstrate and stay calm.
  • Able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with other team members.
  • Able to effectively manage own time and workload.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable dealing with changing priorities.
