Job description

This is a positionworking within the reception team answering incoming calls to the surgery anddealing with reception related administration work. It will also involve working on the receptiondesk and receiving patients and other visitors to the surgery and dealing withtheir queries. You will be trained on all the relevant procedures for thedepartment.

Please note this is a part time role offering 25 hours per week

About thePractice/Department/Team

The Patient Services teams are made upof reception/prescription/secretary and administration. All of which are an integral part of therunning of the surgery.

Job responsibilities

Facilitate effective communication when receiving, assistingand directing patients, ensuring the patient accesses the appropriate serviceor healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Provide general assistance to the practice team andproject a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either inperson or via the telephone.

Experience
  • Experience of working in a busy & multi-functional team.
  • Call centre experience or equivalent
  • Using Systm One (Clinical database)
  • Experience of working within a GP Surgery
  • A minimum of three years experience in a customer facing environment
  • Experience of handling confidential information and data.
