Job Summary

Job title: Patient Services Administrator

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Contract: 12 month fixed term

Pay: £12.65 per hour

South Warwickshire GP Federation represents practices across South Warwickshire and is always looking to provide services and deliver projects to our practices and patients in an innovative manner. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and we want you to bring your ideas to the table. You will need strong organisational skills and work effectively as part of a team and independently. You will need to have strong attention to detail, and experience using Microsoft packages. Prior experience working in the NHS or other medical services, including using electronic patient records systems/databases, is desirable.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities:

  1. Passion to deliver a first-class service.
  2. Identifying customer needs and overseeing service delivery within the business context.
  3. Assisting in the service delivery team, ensuring teams processes and tasks are carried out efficiently.
  4. A key communication link between patients, medical practices, clinical and non-clinical staff.
  5. Supporting the clinical services within our administrative teams by helping us create new services or enhancing existing services.
  6. It is vital you can maintain confidentiality and ensure sensitive information is handled appropriately.
  7. Be an active member of our team and participate with more senior Federation colleagues and staff across our practices.
  8. Remaining organised and meeting deadlines.
  9. Ad hoc project work.
  10. General administration, including filing, scanning and updating systems, timely scheduling patient appointments and accurately managing medical calendars.
  11. Answering phones, responding to emails and managing correspondence.
