Due to promotion, an opportunity has arisen within the Patient Safety Incident Management Team.
It is an exciting time for the team as we continue to embed the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) within the trust. The PSIRF policy has been launched, with the team leading on this core work, building processes and supporting the wider organisation.
We are looking for someone who is impartial, open-minded, with good database management, administrative, and analytical skills. The candidate should have the confidence to ask questions to better understand issues.
The Patient Safety Incident Management Team Business Support Officer must be confident in open challenges and serve as a key enabler for the team’s daily functions.
The post holder will support the administration of meetings, master new briefs, and deliver them confidently, believing in their presentation skills. They should be passionate, contribute to a culture of learning and safety, and be ready to make a difference.
The role involves assisting the Head of Patient Safety Incident Management in the effective and timely notification, management, investigation, and response to incidents.
The post holder will help develop, maintain, and monitor systems for incident reporting and management, ensuring accurate information is available for performance reporting.
Monitoring Datix incident forms to identify incidents meeting patient safety response criteria, liaising with operational staff, system partners, and external organisations as needed.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential for liaising with various agencies on complex, sensitive, and confidential matters, building and improving relationships.
