The Trust Patient Safety Improvement Team is looking for a highly motivated and engaging registered nurse to join us in supporting the effective management and delivery of a number of quality and patient safety improvement initiatives. This post is well suited to someone who is keen to advance their career and enhance their portfolio by gaining experience in quality improvement (QI) in patient safety and the use of QI tools to inform improvements in clinical practice.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
-Engaging and supporting clinical staff in specific improvement initiatives
-Working with clinical staff to test and refine improvement ideas
-Monitoring progress and assuring sustained improvement of previous quality priorities through audit and measurement activities
-Delivering training to frontline staff and developing procedures to support new ways of working
The successful candidate will

-Possess sound clinical judgement
Support and training in quality improvement methodologies will be provided and there is some flexibility in working hours. This role would require travel between our Bristol and Weston hospital sites.
Provide direct support to the delivery of the Patient Safety Improvement Programme; promote quality improvement and the value of quality assurance measures, to act as a resource, promote innovation, sharing of information and best practice.
• Be an advocate for quality Improvement, engage, influencing and working with front line staff across the Trust to ensure a culture of continuous quality improvement.
• To support nursing quality and safety audits across the organisation; auditing, monitoring and gathering data to make quality improvements.
• Collect, monitor and report data monthly relating to a range of applicable quality improvements.
• Facilitating improvements in relation to findings of monitoring and audits, working collaboratively with departments across all disciplines of healthcare across the organisation.
• To prepare outcomes measures, data and improvements reports to a number of forums internally and externally.
• To assist (as required) in the implementation; roll out and upgrades of clinical digital systems, providing clinical expertise as required and ensuring staff are supported through changes.
• To assist on developing, reviewing and updating all appropriate clinical guidelines and policies
• To supportively challenge existing practice, when necessary, both at an organisational and individual level across all levels of the multidisciplinary team.
