Job summary

A leading cancer treatment center in Manchester is seeking an MDT Coordinator/Patient Pathway Tracker. The ideal candidate will have experience within the NHS and a solid understanding of cancer pathways. Responsibilities

  • Maintaining an accurate patient tracking list.
  • Liaising with other trusts.
  • Facilitating effective MDT meetings.
  • Preparing and circulating patient lists for MDT discussions.
  • Attending MDT meetings, recording attendance and outcomes.
  • Ensuring timely input of MDT outcomes into the patient administration system.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen in the Performance Management Department for an MDT Coordinator/Patient Pathway Tracker. The team requires an enthusiastic team member who is committed to having a positive impact on cancer patient pathways.

You will have experience working within the NHS, preferably within a cancer data environment. An understanding of current cancer pathways and MDT processes would be highly desirable. You will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Tracking target patients from referral to first treatment in a timely manner.
  2. Attending regular meetings and providing updates on patient pathways.
  3. Maintaining an accurate patient tracking list.
  4. Liaising with other trusts.
  5. Facilitating effective and well-structured Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings.
  6. Preparing and circulating patient lists for MDT discussions, using information from secretaries, lead clinicians, and nurse specialists.
  7. Attending MDT meetings, recording attendance and outcomes, and distributing these to relevant team members.
  8. Ensuring timely and accurate input of MDT outcomes into the local patient administration system, CWP.

Candidates must have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite. Good organizational skills and confident communication with all levels of staff are essential.
