Job Title: Patient Pathway Co-ordinator

The Heart Division at The Royal Brompton Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Pathway Co-ordinator. This role involves central coordination of patient pathways and offers an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to enhance their experience and skills in administration.

This position is ideal for candidates interested in working in a fast-paced environment focused on outpatient and inpatient pathways. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including consultants, nurses, and diagnostic teams to ensure patients are booked in a timely manner.

Skills
Essential Criteria
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective liaison with multidisciplinary staff
  • Ability to handle confidential data and sensitive issues discreetly
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to manage difficult service users and challenging situations
Desirable Criteria
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understanding of peer review and governance processes
Education
Essential Criteria
  • Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • Diploma level or NVQ 3, City and Guilds certificate in business administration or equivalent
