Job description

Job Title: Diagnostic Centre Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Diagnostic Centre admin team. The role involves scheduling appointments for NHS and private patients for various diagnostic tests, ensuring adherence to waiting time guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and schedule appointments accurately using hospital systems.
  2. Communicate effectively with patients and staff at all levels.
  3. Maintain accurate data records while ensuring confidentiality.
  4. Provide administrative support to clinical teams to maintain high-quality service.
  5. Greet patients, complete checks, and provide necessary paperwork.
  6. Monitor, update, and reschedule DNA appointments daily.
  7. Register new patients and assist with image transfers from outside organizations.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and safety in waiting areas.
  9. Assist private patients with payments and relevant documentation.
  10. Prepare appointment lists and support radiographers and consultants with administrative tasks.
  11. Record and collate departmental data, including waiting time audits.
  12. Cross-cover reception and diagnostic areas as needed.
  13. Perform any other duties as discussed with departmental managers.
