Located in Smithfield in the heart of the city of London, St Bartholomew’s Hospital is the oldest working hospital in the country. 2WW Sarcoma Service has recently transferred divisions and is now administered under the SBH General Imaging team. Bringing together functions within our diagnostic sections to help foster closer and better ties/service provision for those patients transitioning through their 2WW Urgent Suspected Sarcoma pathway.
The Patient Pathway Co-ordinator (PPC) will actively manage the administrative processes attached to patient pathways and booking clinics, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients to deliver high-quality administration, a positive patient experience, and excellent customer service.

Main duties of the job
Our Imaging Service operates over 7 days between 08:00 to 20:00. PPCs play a vital role in ensuring, in conjunction with CAO/Outpatients, MDT Co-ordinators, and wider Imaging Staff, that patients are scheduled in accordance with 2WW target (Suspected Cancer) waiting times as set out in the NHS constitution for cancer, RTT, and DM01 pathways, taking action to expedite bookings where necessary. They must manage their workload to meet targets, sometimes under pressure.
