Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a motivated catering team member to prepare high quality patient meals across the Central Production Unit, Wolfson Cystic Fibrosis Centre kitchen at City campus, and the Receipt and Distribution Unit at the QMC campus.

You will work to strict food hygiene standards, produce meals from fresh ingredients, and assist in maintaining cleanliness of equipment. Weekend and bank holiday shifts are included, with enhanced rates for unsocial hours.

Qualifications

• Familiarise with full Job Description and Person Specification documents attached to the advert.
• Produce patient meals cooked fresh and blast frozen to retain nutrients before storage and delivery.
• Follow food hygiene legislation 1999 and maintain high standards of cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
• Be part of a large catering team delivering meals across multiple units and campuses.
• Rotas include weekends and bank holidays, with enhanced pay for unsocial hours.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality, varied meals for patients across CPU, Wolfson CF Centre kitchen and QMC Receipt/Distribution Unit.
• Maintain hygiene of all catering equipment and building areas to ensure safe service of food and beverages.
• Work on rota basis including weekends/bank holidays.
• Adhere to food hygiene regulations and company policies.
