Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join the hospital team at Hammersmith. You will help ensure safe, efficient meal service for patients, delivering the right meals at the right times with care and professionalism.

The role supports patients with special dietary requirements while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Full training is provided to help you develop the skills to succeed in this important patient-facing service.

Qualifications

Experience in catering, hospitality, or healthcare preferred.
Able to deliver meals accurately and promptly.
Willingness to learn and adapt with full training provided.
Strong hygiene and infection control awareness.
Reliable, compassionate and professional.

Responsibilities

Deliver meals accurately and promptly to patients across wards.
Support patients with dietary needs, including allergies and cultural preferences.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety, following infection control protocols.
Collaborate with clinical and catering teams to ensure a smooth dining experience.
Demonstrate professionalism and attention to detail in every task.
