A mental health service provider in Prestwich is seeking a Band 3 Bed Coordinator to manage administrative support for patient admissions and discharges. The successful candidate will work on a 24/7 shift basis, demonstrating strong initiative and ability to perform under pressure. GMMH Bed Management and Patient Flow team aim to promote effective patient flow based on individual service users' care pathways, ensuring least restrictive practice and optimizing lengths of stay.
The band 3 bed coordinators are expected to provide administrative support to a senior band 7 clinician over a 24/7 period, ensuring all requests for admission are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
The role involves working shifts over a 24/7 schedule, including some night work in a fast-paced environment. The team seeks individuals who can work well under pressure, show initiative, and are solution-focused.
The post holder will coordinate calls for on-call psychiatry between 5pm and 9am for the 2nd line on-call doctor, logging all calls, contacting the doctor with work requests or leaving messages if busy, and maintaining a log accessible to support workload prioritization.
Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules effective from 22/07/2025. Separate provisions apply to workers sponsored and holding a Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.
