Job description

The Post

The postholder is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day transactional upkeep of the national CHI database to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient demographic and GP Practice registration information. Additionally, the postholder supports the movement of medical records between GP Practices including recording the tracking of the movement or record and correcting exceptions in the movement process. This involves dealing with queries from GP Practice staff and patients on a daily basis.

The Candidate

An effective team worker with a strong customer focused approach you will possess good keyboard skills, proficient in use of Microsoft office suite, strong communication skills and telephone experience. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills together with a high degree of accuracy and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality is essential.

Location and Working Pattern:

Gyle Square, Edinburgh

Currently hybrid working

Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
