Job summary
Belfast Health and Social Care Trust is hiring a Senior Nursing Assistant (Band 3) to support safe, patient-centred care in our wards. The role supports registered nurses by assisting with daily living activities, basic clinical tasks, and maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
The post requires adherence to DoH standards, participation in training, and commitment to whistleblowing and quality improvement. Full-time, band 3 NHS salary scales apply.
Qualifications
- NVQ/VRQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 Certificate in Health/Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
- NVQ/VRQ/QCF/RQF Level 2 Certificate in Health/Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification, and 1 year of direct care experience.
- 4 GCSEs at grade A-C including English and Maths (or equivalent) and 1 year of direct care experience.
- 2 years’ experience delivering direct care in a care environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information at all times.
- Assist with fundamental nursing care and activities of daily living as delegated.
- Undertake clinical duties as required in ward/department.
- Report and record all activities undertaken accurately.
- Participate in ward team development and safety policies.
