NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a dedicated care assistant to join the patient-focused team. You will work under supervision of a registered NMAHP practitioner, assist with care plans, support rehabilitation goals and perform baseline assessments within defined parameters.

The role emphasizes compassionate direct patient care, safe and effective practice, and delivery of high-quality care to a delegated caseload.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
• Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
• Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.

Responsabilités

• Apply knowledge and skills, gained through formal training, in relation to direct patient care in support of and supervised by a registered NMAHP practitioner, ensuring delivery of high quality of care
• Delivers direct patient care with compassion, to a delegated clinical caseload of patients whose treatment follows a clear plan of care / clinical protocol.
• Obtains consent for interventions or investigations.
• Effectively monitors the patient's condition, recognising and changes / deterioration in their physical or mental condition and liaises with the registered NMAHP practitioner in a timely manner to review and reassess care / treatment needs
