Job summary

Carer on Call in Scotland seeks an Auxiliary Nursing Assistant to support patients with daily activities and comfort. The role involves assisting with personal care, monitoring conditions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment under the direction of registered nurses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in the capacity of a staff nurse.
• Ability to provide a clean police clearance certificate AND/OR DBS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities: bathing, dressing, feeding and personal care.
• Monitor patient conditions: record vital signs, weight and other relevant information.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene: keep rooms clean and safe.
• Assist nursing staff: support with basic medical procedures as directed by registered nurses.
• Transport patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
• Record patient information and update medical charts.
• Provide emotional support and effective communication to patients and families.
