Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk on the Post Op Recovery Unit.
Full-time, night shift, 6pm to 6am including 2-3 weekends per 6-week schedule.
Join our team to provide excellent care to post-op patients, focusing on ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery). Responsibilities include early mobility, ICS (incentive spirometer) use, and assisting patients with meals. Join our Fami-Leigh team and experience our work environment!
Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff working under the supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated nursing care, support patient admissions and discharges, and ensure patient safety. They observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report changes to the nurse.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
One year of healthcare experience preferred.
NCP, Nursing Care Partner, CNA, NA, Patient Care Tech, PCT, Medical Assistant, EMT, EMS, Paramedic, and related terms.
