We are seeking a motivated and experienced Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Manager to lead and enhance patient and public involvement activities. This role ensures that patient, carer, and public voices are integrated into decision-making, research design, delivery, and dissemination within the NHS.

The Research Engagement team collaborates with researchers, healthcare professionals, patients, and the public to build inclusive partnerships in research development, delivery, and dissemination. The team aims to reduce health inequalities and has strong links with local VCFSE and statutory bodies, ensuring research meets the needs of those most in need across North East London.

Interview date: 8th August 2025

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to creating an inclusive community of practice around research delivery, sharing learning, and ensuring PPIE impact evidence benefits future research, policy, and practice.

You will establish and oversee administrative and business systems to support the team, delivering efficient services to Trust and Medical School researchers, patients, and the public. A customer-focused and collaborative approach is essential.

You will be part of a small, dynamic team, influencing and delivering key PPIE initiatives to further inclusion goals.

We support professional development through training and experience growth. The primary base is in Whitechapel at the Joint Research Management Office, with flexible working options, including home working.

Our vision is to be a high-performing, innovative group of hospitals known for safety, high standards, and compassionate care.
