Pathway to Prevention: Learning Support Assistant – Reading Area

£101.40 per day | Term Time Only | Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

Are you passionate about making a real difference in young lives and preventing future harm? This Learning Support Assistant role in a specialist school in Reading could be your first step toward a career in prevention, youth justice, or community safety.

You’ll be supporting children and young people aged 4 to 19 with:

  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Physical disabilities
  • Cognitive and developmental delays

This role is ideal for those who want to build experience working with vulnerable young people and understand early intervention strategies that can change lives.

No classroom experience needed. If you’ve worked in care, youth work, mentoring, or support services, your skills are highly transferable. This is a great foundation for careers in:

  • Youth Offending Teams
  • Social Work or Probation Services
  • Behavioral or Cognitive Therapy
  • Community Outreach & Safeguarding

Driving or access to transport is recommended due to the school’s location.
